Great advice Tina! One other very important tip I give beginners, is don’t try to follow me by watching my footwork, watch my eyes instead. If you’re looking down all the time you will miss all my visual leads with my arms as well as my body language. If a woman can just put it in neutral, maintain her dance frame and keep her eyes on me the whole dance, I can do the rest and make you look ten times better then you actually are!

Also, what Tina said about keeping your weight over feet and staying balanced is really critical! A lot of beginners tend to want to throw their back beyond center when swing dancing…not a good idea! If your hands slip and you loose connection with your partner you’re going to go flying across the dance floor and land on your back!
